Payment Policy

Credit or Debit Card details are required to secure all bookings.
The booking total will be charged to your Credit or Debit card on confirmation.


Rates shown on booking calendar are for 2 guests.
Adults and children 1 year and over are an additional $30 p/n.
No charge for Infants under 1 year. 

Minimum stays 

Specific minimum stay requirements for relevant dates are shown on the booking calendar. 
Hover over the date to view.
Public Holiday and Festival weekends = 2/3 nights min stay.
Christmas / New Year = 3/6 nights min stay.
We are not able to accept bookings with a check-in or check-out date of 25, 26,31 December or 1,2 January.

Arrivals and Departures

Reception is attended for Check In from 2 pm - 7 pm.
Check In outside these hours is by prior arrangement only. 
Please contact us in advance if you need to arrange a later check in time
Check Out is by  10 am.


Pets are not permitted - sorry no exceptions.


Accommodation and Facilities at Beachfront Resort are for the use of registered guests only.           Guests are welcome to have one or two occasional  visitors during the day at the discretion of management.   Please ask us first.   Parties or gatherings including non-registered guests are not permitted.   Unauthorised visitors may be asked to leave.    Resort Facilities;  Beach Bar, BBQ, Spa Pool, Kayaks, Sun Loungers etc are not available for use by guests'  visitors.  Unregistered guests are not permitted to stay over overnight.   All visitors are required to leave by 10pm.


Beachfront Resort is a Smoke-Free, Vape-Free property

Smoking and/or Vaping  is not permitted anywhere on the premises, indoors or outdoors

Cancellation Policies for direct bookings

Cancellation Policy:  for bookings between 01 May - 30 September
(excluding holiday weekends)
Cancellation within;
• 14 days of arrival date: 50% forfeit of the total booking price.
•  7 days of arrival date: 100% forfeit of the total booking price.
Cancellation Policy for Periods of Peak Demand:  
i.e. for bookings between 01 October - 30 April,  Easter,
Whitianga Oceans Festival Sept, and Queen's Birthday Weekend.
Cancellation within;
• 30 days of arrival date: 50% forfeit of the total booking price.
• 14 days of arrival date: 100% forfeit of the total booking price.
Cancellation Policy for Group Bookings (3 or more units)
Cancellation within;
• 2 calendar months of arrival date: 50.00% forfeit of total booking price
• 1 calendar month of arrival date: 100.00% forfeit of total booking price
All Cancellations must be received in writing.
All Cancellations may incur an administration charge of NZ$30
AT ALL TIMES Guests who do not cancel their booking,
but do not arrive, will be charged 100% of total booking cost.
We recommend Travel Insurance.

Non-Refundable Bookings

Bookings made via 3rd party OTA sites or with discount coupons may be non-refundable.                      This will be clearly stated on the booking confirmation.

Bookings amended inside the non-refundable period to new dates, if permitted,  remain non-refundable.

Covid-19 Travel Restriction affected bookings.

This policy applies to all existing and future bookings where New Zealand  government restrictions prevent travel to Whitianga for your intended stay at Beachfront Resort.

If New Zealand government  Covid -19 travel restrictions prevent you from travelling to Whitianga and staying at Beachfront Resort on your booked dates, providing you notify us at least 24 hours prior to arrival date, your payment will be converted to a Travel Credit.  You will be able to reschedule your booking for alternative dates within 12 months of the original booking, and we will apply the payment already made to the new dates.  Travel Credits may be applied to one booking over consecutive nights, are subject to availability, applicable full rates, and minimum stay requirements, and are non-refundable.
